FR - Doppio Zero (Sandton)

Hey guys,

So I decided (2 minutes ago, lol)  to add my personal reviews on restaurants I visit.
I mean, I totally love love food, so why not spread that love in the form of reviews, and let you know the "yays" and "nays" of it.

First up on my list is Doppio Zero (Sandton City), I guess 2 hours of touring the new impeccable "Discovery" building totally build's up on our appetite and after another further 30 minutes of debating where to eat, we settled with Doppio Zero.

As we entered we were awaken by the fresh aromas of oven baked ciabattas for sale just outside the restaurant.

The interior was more of a "Pub'ish Industrial Chic" if that makes any sense. I tend to love places that's abit airy and vibey, unfortunately the interior, positioning of tables/chairs etc didn't cut it for me.

Staff . . . Friendly, although I noticed our waiter was never around when we needed him, but I cant blame him the spot was a little busy when we were there.

I love the fact that they have a wide selection on their menu to choose from. I personally decided to go with the salmon poke, I craved something light and wholesome, and the poke did do justice.

I ordered mines with a side of light soy sauce, as I so didn't fancy their oil based vinaigrette, it was a little too mellow for the dish, nonetheless I used a combination of the two.

I snuck a taste of my cousins chicken pasta in a gorgonzola cream base sauce and it was simply divine, 1 bite was just enough for me as it was extremely to rich.

Overall I now have a new favourite brunching spot, and I  cannot wait to get my hands on their house ciabattas,
